| I've enjoyed stereo images since I was a kid. Anaglyphic stereo images can be viewed with the red/blue glasses that can be purchased on the web or found in bookstores, or sometimes given away in movie theaters. Since a monitor screen is a light source, stereo images viewed that way are much more detailed and clear than printed stereo pictures. The effect is similar to the old Viewmaster stereo device.
Here you'll find both 3D rendered stereo images and stereo photographs. I've included a couple of older Interlaced images. These were originally meant for display on older (non-digital) televisions. There are two types of 3D rendered anaglyphs seen here, three full color and two 'duochromatic' (all shades of red and blue) images. Personally, I think the 'duochromatic' images give better stereo separation.
The software I use can render stereo imagery fairly easily, but I prefer to post process the stereo pairs in Photoshop.
